New Member Announcement: IAMBOX Korea joins Self Storage Association Asia
The SSAA would like to welcome IAMBOX Korea to the membership and our community. As a leading self storage operator in Korea, they bring new perspectives and energy from one of Asia’s most important economies. Welcome aboard!
IAMBOX KOREA is the second biggest self storage company in Korea, founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Sunghoon Nam. Mr Nam was awarded a prize from Korea Ministry of SMEs and Startups last June.
Hakku Lee (Chief Strategy Officer) joined this company last October. Mr Lee has a background in property investment as a former EVP at Daol AMC (Alternative Investment), an Investment Director at GIC (a Singaporean-based global investment group) and has worked in the sector for over 30 years.
IAMBOX KOREA is Korea’s growth leader and has expanded from 12 to 50 branches in the past year, most of which are found in the Seoul Metropolitan area. They provide both self storage and luggage storage services along with an in-house pickup and delivery service. The company has a strong focus on using technology in implementation, a key component of its profitability and fast growth. The company achieved a surplus during the last fiscal year and is aiming to open 100 branches within this year.
